I’ll only add that you could make a similar pyramid with the percentages of health costs by category, with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity—disease states tightly correlated with large and unbalanced diets—taking up the biggest chunk. Subsidies have both upstream and downstream systemic effects. And they don’t have to be negative!
